6 Day Iditarod Race Start Tour

2025 Iditarod Race Start Tour Package. This tour is designed to let you experience all of the excitement of the race start, learn about the history of Anchorage, Native Alaskan Culture, the Alaska Native Land Claims Settlement Act, as well spending an exciting day learning to drive your own dog team. This is an incredible dog mushing experience at the Alaska Mushing School. Here you will tour the kennel, learn about dog mushing and take a dog sled ride. Most of our clients consider this to be the highlight of the tour. At the Iditarod Race Banquet you will mingle with the mushers, have photo ops with them and the opportunity to wish them well.

"Going to the see the Iditarod was the fulfillment of a lifetime dream for me. Ever since reading "Call of the Wild" in grade school I have dreamed of braving the last frontier. After reading a review of Montagna's trip in Outdoor Photographer magazine, I signed up for the adventure of a lifetime. Montagna's tour was the perfect blend of guided tour and individualism, attentive enough to guide us to the key things we needed to see, without creating an overbearing tour where every second is planned out".
