2026 7 Day Iditarod Race Start Tour

2026 Iditarod Race Start Tour Package. This tour is designed to let you experience all of the excitement of the race start, see the dog teams at the Rainy Pass checkpoint, learn about the history of Anchorage and Native Alaskan Culture. You will also spend an exciting day learning to drive your own dog team. This is an incredible dog mushing experience at Iditarod Champion Martin Buser's Happy Trails Kennels. Here you will tour the kennel, learn about dog mushing and take a dog sled ride. Most of our clients consider this to be the highlight of the tour. At the Iditarod Race Banquet you will mingle with the mushers, have photo ops with them and the opportunity to wish them well.
